This is horrible advice. Using WeChat is full of fake pictures, scams, and people who perform bad services. Some will request money transfer first, and In the worst case, there may be thugs that may come to your room to pressure you for money (although very rare and unlikely).

I've used the service more than 100 times (various wechat ID's) and I have only had a problem 1 time. It wasn't a big problem either. That time I told the person that the if the picture was not the girl who arrived, I would send her away. I asked them for a video conference on LINE, but they claimed they couldn't do that. (I should have refused them right then). The girl that arrived was not the same girl from the picture (although she was pretty damn hot, so I would have been smart to keep her.). I sent her away on principle rather than that the girl was no good and called another service to send a girl. That girl arrived and was the same as her photo. But for the next 3 hours different girls (probably about 20 overall) from the original service kept coming to my door one by one and I sent them all away (even though I told that service I was not going to accept any girl from their service ever after the 1st one was a lie). I guess they thought I'd accept one eventually. lol. Some were not bad looking at all, but I already told them that I would not use their service after the first girl did not match the photo.

Every other time I have used those services, the girls matched their photos. I will admit that the one time the girl did not match the photo, the photo was a 10 out of 10 hottie so I figured it was probably fake. Those services will normally do a video chat with you if you want to see the girl before she comes.

I have NEVER had anyone from wechat request money transfer first or a "thug" come to my place. I see girls on Tinder and Craigslist asking for money transfer first and I just laugh. Only an idiot would do that.

I agree that it's better to go to the easy places like classic if you want to go outside your hotel. But if you want delivery to your room, there is nothing wrong with wechat. If you are scared, then get them to do a video chat with you first - or refuse their service if they won't do that. Personally, I don't even worry about that most times (unless I absolutely want sex) because many times I just want a massage, and sex will happen if the girl is hot.

Once the girl comes to your room the first time, she will want you to save her number and call her directly rather than use the service again. She doesn't have to give the service a cut that way. I have many girl's numbers now and don't use the services so much anymore - but I still do on occasion when I'm in the mood for a new girl.

It is very well-known that WeChat is not reliable, and has potential for scams. (see https://samsforum.com/showthread.php?p=12031792). While it is possible to find some gems, it is not recommended unless you are very seasoned and know how to avoid the traps, and willing to spend time/hassle hunting, waiting for girl to arrive, and seeing if the girl match the picture or not.
