Is not only sg gov requirement, seem like we need to be vaccine certified to visit other countries..

If you want to look at real hard data on the efficacy of the vaccine refer to current status in say Israel and the UK.

Israel seems to have vaccinated the large majority of its population and now appears to be back in pre-covid mode internally. So far so good.

Ironically this caused the largest death incident to happen in Israel a couple of days ago due to a human stampede accident at a religious site.

UK now slowly coming out of its 2nd lock down because the Covid figures have dropped dramatically after a big push to get a large portion of the country vaccinated, both first and second doses. Most importantly hospitalisation figures and death rates have come down a lot.

UK Government now even conducting a human experiment to see how effective the vaccine is in a mass group setting - 3,000 plus young adults who were fully vaccinated and pre-tested negative were invited to gather for a Rave night(similar to ZoukOut) at a warehouse a couple of days ago. Interesting to see the end results of this experiment.

Vaccine for Covid was never going to be a cure though. But if successful enough to bring down hospitalisation and death rates comparable to say the Flu than I think it would have done its job effectively and we can slowly but surely go back to a pre-covid way of life.

Also just read UK conducting another Covid human experiment with young adults again, this time a live indie band open air concert with more than 5,000 revellers.

End of the day many pp will either get immune or Asymptomatic. Thats what they aiming.

i dont even think 70% vaccination rate is enough.
Especially with these new variants around which reduce the effectiveness of current vaccines (even for mRNA ones)
probably need 80-100% vaccination rate then safer.
