1. Cancel her study pass.
2. Re-apply short term social visit pass.
3. If granted, you may go ahead with the ROM booking.
4. If #2 & #3 is approved, den talk about PR later.

It will depends on a number of thing.
1) Your monthly salary
2) Your finacial status (No Bankruptcy or about to be sued by bank, can check thru MAS)
3) Both your Educational levels (the higher the better)

I understands that if you are a Civil Servant, the chance is even higher. Had personally seen some of my Ex-colleagues been able to get PR for their spouses within 6 mths.

tks bro for the intensive info provided.....looks like my chances are slim cos my salary less den 25k per year, and have not consistanly contributing cpf cos more to self employed....oni a poly grad.....plus pt is tat didn't own bank anything.....my prc gf oso not very high qualification.....

1) Salary
2) Income tax (make sure you pay up every year)
3) Criminal Records (Best if you dun have any)
4) Bankruptcy (Big No-No)
5) Educational Levels (mainly on the hubby side)

Dun just give up hope just bcos your annual gross is <25K. Salary is only one of the critieria. Read up the Foreigner's wife's thread to know more. My first time of application, my annual gross was $20K. My third time of submission is $26K and the approval is being processed finally. Phew.

In order for your wife to work in SGP legally, she must apply work permit thru her employer. For long term social visit pass, she's entitled to work. But this will dampen her chances of getting PR.

Tough but not impossible. Your salary not in your favour but everything else ok. What is the education level of your wife-to-be? Is she is highly educated or skilled it will help alot. Best of all can prove that wife will be able to contribute to society.

It will take awhile so got to be patient. If first time rejected nevermind go to your local MPS and ask for help. Get your MP to fight for you!
