I’m in Batam now. The process was really straightforward. For bros trying to visit here, this is what you need to do.

1. Book Ferry Tickets
2. Purchase covid19 insurance with destination as ASEAN (buy from Changirecommends as it’s the cheapest)

4. A day or two before you depart to Batam, download and complete your profile in the PeduliLindungi app (this app you won’t use anytime when you’re here)
5. Fill up the Letter of statement while you’re in the ferry
6. Activate roaming for the number of days you are here (I used StarHub $5 plan that gives me 3 days of roaming with 1GB of data)

Other notes: the malls or buildings here need you to check temperature but no need to check in or check out. No need predeparture test or on arrival test unless you have some symptoms.

Am interested to know what do the authorities check when you enter batam immigration checkpoint. (valid passport is standard of course)

Only the travel insurance with covid19 coverage document? And the letter of statement?

Just follow the requirements of the ferry companies as listed in their websites.
When i went earlier, ART was required, now no need for ART or PCR for Singaporeans travelling to Batam. You need a copy of the full vaccination certificates (2 basics + booster, understand softcopy also acceptable now), travel insurance of 20k$ for Covid19 and the completed sheet of details (name, address and vaccination details) given inside the ferry itself.
At Harbour Bay, where I landed, they have about 5 desks where these documents were checked before being attended by the immigration officers. Pretty fast and easy, not much of a problem for travellers.

Now is simple, bring ur vaccination cert and purchase travel covid 19 insurance and valid passport more than 6 months. Just that!! At terminal download the app, then check in at batam terminal, no worry even error check in also OK. Then fill in one paper show ur vaccination cert, they will tick then let u go.

Not sure if open or not, but recalled there was a KTV called square club / ktv at 2nd level of I-Hotel Baloi. Its between grand batam and the A2 food court.
Went there pre-covid. A little pricey but you can bring girl to party at the lower level if sing half way and get bored.
I did hear it might be opened, unverified yet though.
