So far so good, i have not seen nor hear about Indonesia immigration officer/s chopping tourist's passport the way Malaysia immigration did in Batam before.

Not even in the more popular Batam Center ferry terminal's immigration did that,hehehe...who has previously been sending tourist/s from Singapore back to where they come from due to "talking" to each other, "discrimination" of non-Singaporean and using mobile phone while in queue.

This is something i didnt know that can be done. And is going to save me lots of time if it works.

Now i can just photograph-ed uncle and auntie's passport to collect boarding pass for them instead of just queuing together with them for an hour and risk missing the ferry timing we wish to take.

Hotel - booked

Ferry pass - collected

Non-commissioned Taxi driver - will need to call one up, needed for the next day (traveling far out)

This coming trip, upon arrival to Harbour Bay, will put them in a restaurant at Bayfront Mall 1st for some food 1st while i go collect everyone's return-to-Singapore boarding pass.

Hail a taxi at 30k rupiah to head to my pre-booked hotel.

Check in to respective room to rest up a bit, at the same time make arrangement for the hotel's shuttle service timing.

Rest a bit and meet up later at hotel lobby, followed by heading to Malls and markets to buy what they wish to buy.

Shopping>>>Massage>>>Eat>>>back to hotel via shuttle service

There are 2 definition of shopping here :

a) shopping for CNY goodies, fruits etc

b) shopping for girls

There are 2 definition of Massage too :

b) Massage along BCS mall area - Directly opposite BCS mall's massage shops

There are also 2 definition of Eat as well :

a) Eat inside hotel via Grab Food (i am the waiter,hehehe..chef is someone else)

b) Eating at either Utama area or BCS mall area (since both area all has good and better food available)

Dinner would likely be at J8 food court.

Hoping for my definition of an almost perfect Batam trip,hehehe...

This forum is about field report not a planner forum.

Since I join this forum I also ask who wanna join if I got a trip planned,
I'm no guide no planner. Sorry if you misunderstood me

Just sharing my eerie experience staying at Planet Holiday. Last night, went to collect my grab food at ard 2am. And i saw someone stood rooted at the very end of the corridor of the 11 storey. He looked to me like a security guard. But he was staring emotionless at me even after i waved "hi" to him. While i was waiting for the elevator, i decided to take a look again at the corridor and he is no longer there. Strange things.

BCS's marketing team is indeed innovative. 2018 it was Er Lang, the 3 eyed deity on the ground. I still remember there was a discussion here on this guy didnt blend in to the CNY ambiance.

I didnt go BCS during CNY 2019,hence no photo shoot memory.

But this year, just before CNY 2020...they came out with Transformer,hehehe...

Tho STILL coundnt blend in to the CNY ambiance but i must say they really put in much effort. There was actually a real human being in the Rumble Bee suit. And true enough, "Rumble Bee" did draw some crowd (but mostly kids) at the BCS pintu 3 entrance. I can take this video w/o obstruction becos the parents were physically pulling the kids away,hehehe...as this "machine -looking" thing is big in size.

Note : I call it Rumble Bee becos that thing is an imitation of the Transformer, Bumble Bee.

Btw taking photo with this bumber bee they will want you you give some money...did ypu notice the two side of the leg gt paste money?? Its the place for you to put in money when you took a photo or take photo with...

The problem with these old time massage shop around BCS area is their massage quality is NOT consistent. Old bird already, horn start growing,hehehe...i have my fair share of lousy massage service in the area too (one of which is at Rejuv-a).

They are in my wont-return to massage list. Or at least not for the time being.

So far Aiko and Tui-Na hasnt fail me....yet.

And i am still constantly looking for consistently good places in Batam.
