Its a Monday, custom officers didnt do the X-Ray scanning for Business class passengers. But do note that i am not sure how that works. My ferry timing was 550pm but the guy outside allow business class boarding pass holder like myself to go in at about 445pm,hehehe...which is why i can loiter around the Business class lounge inside the waiting gate for a very long time (with free drinks and snacks,hehehe...).

Hehehe...i have the whole business lounge to myself (with those aunties and uncles) for a solid hour during my return to Singapore.

So quiet in Batam. So quiet to the extend i can take this photo and no custom officer is screaming at me,hehehe...

Those tourist/locals who disembark from ferry going into Batam will be stop there, to get their temperature scanned before being able to enter to get their passport chopped.

One of the card below will be collected inside the ferry by the ferry crew 1st or the health officers before stepping into the immigration booth to get passport chopped.

The other portion to keep. No one collect it from me,hehehe...

How can I go back to Batam without feeling that atmosphere of the Formosa lobby? the smell in the corridors? the large bed and my room 265?
For me Batam is not Batam without all that

Da Vienna? My friend was there, and he told me that his room was small and not so good as my 265 at Formosa.
More expensive places? Nagoya Hills?
Where can I find the atmosphere of Formosa??
I hope someone will buy the property and reopen... Today it is a sad day for me.

Hi blackpage, my apologies for citing the quote so much but just want to talk about the 2 hotels that you mentioned. Da Vienna is really small and especially the closet but it's is actually quite nice and clean. Though have not tried the breakfast but nono did tell me before that they serve the best. As for Nagoya hills, I rather you take da Vienna instead as hills is really old and the service is lacking. Personally prefer harmoni suites for the kitchen and one of the housekeeper who is very nice(maybe cos I kept tipping her daily during my long stays and she remembers me) but not the front desk( maybe cos I never tip them).

I believe you are asking about how those sellers get those free tickets but if you did read the forum, you would have known that spending a certain amount of money(50 if I ain't wrong) at certain restaurant(haidilao if I didn't recall wrongly) will get you those tickets.

Its gonna be a long story, and i will have to come to this post to make reply on a later time.

There is no best hotels (nor best girls) in Batam,hehehe...just the most suitable. And you arent looking for the best hotel (in Batam),hehehe...

Erm..Nagoya Hill Hotel is a very new hotel (just directly outside Nagoya Hill Mall front entrance), it's probably less than 3 year old. The Hill Hotel however is quite old.

Both are 2 different hotels.

Harmony suite and Swiss Inn penuin were good hotels.

For Da Vienna Hotel, their better rooms starts from their Grand Deluxe room type onward (which is much often out of stock).

You should try Trinity Hotel one day. Now they offered free drop off at some Batam major Mall and Harbour Bay ferry terminal (selected timing). No pick up tho. You will like their balcony (low price, clean room too).

Hmm...its all so quiet in Batam, even on weekends,hehehe....about time to make yet another trip to Batam.

I dont like to be in a crowd...that cost me extra S$12.

...especially so during a weekend. Thats when i am on my way back to Singapore. We practically own the Business Lounge on that Sunday,hehehe...

Even inside Grand Batam Mall on a weekend. No one's in the counter. Where did the staff/s go to?

Oh wait, i spot her....hehehe....

Hopefully her boss dont see her "eating snake" (aka behaving lazily having fun while at work) like that.
