Batam discotheque admission prices

Recently on trying to go to the Planet discotheque,I saw several people walking in free.However,as I approached the entrance,I was asked to pay 50k for myself and the cewek.In return the voucher would only get a soft drink.
In Pacific and the Sphynx,in the past,although there was an admission charge,the voucher bought you a beer.
Why have Planet adopted this policy for some but not all of the customers?
The ceweks always want to go to the discotheques.

Other days are free.
Entry fees are Rp25,000 per person.

normally guys dun pay unless u a bule or newbie.

- free air con and loud music
- two pop soda (soft drinks) or Aqua (distilled water)

Its already cheap. If you think its expensive, then don't go lah ... its a freedom of choice wat Don't tell me your cewek ask you to go there then you just go? Tell her you find its too expensive hence you don't wanna go lor.

In the past, a voucher in Planet gets you a bir, but not any more cos the bir now cost more than the voucher. Bintang = Rp25.5K, Heineken = Rp28K.

Actually if you frequent the disco, and the bouncers recognise you, you dun have to pay entrance. In fact they'll even clear a path for you to walk inside the disco crowd to your table. In the past, orang asing gets free admission, but not any more cos a lot of cheongsters go in without buying any drinks for the whole night. Thus its not profitable for the disco.

But if you're a regular and always spend Rp500K a night on drinks over there and knows the people there, free admission is a certainty and they'll treat you like a king.

What I practice is to always use the same waiter. At the entrance if I get stop, I'll tell them I'm number XX's regular, which they'll verify first with the waiter and let you in free. But of cos you'll have to tip the waiter which I usually give Rp10-20K at the end of the night.

In reality, you pay for what you get. The waiter will give your table special attention, light your ciggies, run errands (buy ciggies, light snacks) for you, and will try to disperse the crowd around you in the event got crowd problem.

For Planet's case, if you stay IVH you can get free admission by showing them your room key.

But the most important point is, if you're able to get yourself to Batam to cheong, why fuss over Rp25K-50K (S$4-8) of admission charge!
