Any hotel recommendation that I can see sunrise sunset from the hotel room? I’m willing to pay to get this great view. Would be nice to watch sunrise sunset with my gf either from the bed or balcony. There’s a Formosa residence hotel which seems nice. Pricey I know.

Khalwat offences in Malaysia are committed when a man and a woman who are not family members, and when at least one of them is a Muslim, are caught in 'close proximity'. The couple could be in a room or in a public park.

I suppose Indonesia would have similar laws. In Malaysia it seems that they are more “on” in catching khalwat. I was just wondering how “on” the Indonesian vigilantes are in catching khalwat in Batam.

I also read about hotel counter staff whistleblowing to earn extra money. There are cctvs on each floor of the hotel so even if gf doesn’t go to the counter, she can still be seen entering the room. Housekeeping can also tell. So if they want to earn extra cash, they can tell on you. I guess if giving money to the cops can settle the problem then not much of a problem.

In Batam, have not encountered such stuff as khalwat but have been warned by my GF to stay away from some smaller hotels near batam centre before as they are stricter and more family focused. Most hotels mentioned here by bros have no such issue so far. Unless you guys go to places like aceh, then this should be big issue there.

As for those co concerned about their new phones, was told by a chinese guy at the stall beside the money changer in harbourbay that as long as purchase for the 100k card, they can register for free, but 1 card for 1 phone registration only. Also the registration can only be done in seaport or airport counters, other place will not be able to do so. Hope these info helps.

But might hv issue in Balai. I remember during that month girl would reinstate theur coularful hair. And I was told to keep a distance with her, when walking past the polis post junction in Balai.
In batam not much problems, but I would still avoid those religious area then.

We passed by Hana Hotel several times, the outside and the lobby looks a bit rundown and the street in front has many potholes, it may be difficult to walk back to the hotel when it rains. We did not look at the rooms.

For car rental, do a search for Salsarentcar. Avanza with driver only cost 450k per 12 hrs (+ 60k tip for the driver's lunch and dinner).

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about changing hotels too but a bit troublesome to change hotels for a one week trip. I was planning to self-drive. A bit more freedom. Can use my phone gps for navigation. Will only drive during the day not at night.

I thought of Hana because of the amenities around it, I also read they have a car rental there (maybe I read wrongly). But my PRC gf wants to watch sunrise so I guess I have to book a hotel with that kind of view from the bedroom. Any recommendations?

For me I usually just book a room for 2 nights despite I'm going to stay for a week so that I can either change hotel or continue staying at same hotel every 2 nights.

I love Delta Spa,during my first visit i was informed by the sexy counter girl to get package 3 that will include the happy ending and that was only 60+ back than. Last visit before covid was around 90+ with free buffet. The tip here is if you clink with one lady, keep booking her. Once they get comfortable with you,everything can do!! What i really like is that i dont have to negotiate for services that i hate.Kills the mood. Bad, you cant choose the girl unlike octopuss you get to choose the girl.

Was around SGD120 (1.2m IDR) for everything for a 2 hour session + 200,000 IDR tip. But just only clothed top roam, no topless or 5G roaming, and only HJ.

Given that SG massages cost around the same, this was way better service than what I would usually get in sg.

Precovid, I always went for the same therapist in Delta Spa Jakarta who would automatically stripped naked upon command and she was always very happy to see me and would hugged me tightly like a long lost lover. She was like a buffet meal; allowing me free play to whatever I wanted to do on her body although FJ & BJ were strictly no no.
