Even a vaccine is not promising or sustainable. Like all flu vaccine, covid vaccine is not long-term effective. Those who got covid also lose immunity after a few months.
Only solution is if covid eventually mutates to become less virulent and lethal (this is observed now, in fact) like a normal flu, then all goes back to normal. Maybe a few years.
