Bkk very crowded, don't take taxi. The Bkk MRT is called BTS. Buy Rabbit card which is like EZ link. Pretty cheap. Suggest stay near the BTS stations like Nana or Asok, then take train or just walk. Do a google seach in that area, there are many hotels at every price point. If it's very late in night then can take taxi.
