Good info indeed. I cant add it on these piece of info the link, but i can keep it and add it in the newer compilation on a later time. Old pricing and new pricing variance usually wont be too far apart anyway. So the current information is still enough for any new guy,hehehe...

About the hot pool, if you are reading this, mind if i ask, did you go Octopuss in the morning when the hot wasnt good? The last time i was there, its morning time, the pool wasnt hot enough (like the hotel room,standing shower hot water) as compare to the same month i visited New Spa.

Find one day will need to visit Octopuss to get a real feel of what changes.

Same here. I have tried the Sport Massage branch which you have went to before. And i couldnt understand why i preferred Aiko than Sports Massage which i kept returning to,hehehe... I think most probably is becos Sports Massage is a little more crowded hence the assorted noise level (from their guest/s) is higher than Aiko's. Could be partly becos of its location too. But well, i even specially took a taxi there, just to go for their massage and foot reflexology. Now, thats puzzling me,hehehe... :D

Next trip (or perhaps later trip/s), i might go try Sport Massage again. I wish to find out why i am preferring Aiko. Hmm...have i said this before? Looks like October and November time should be the best time to pile up those orange tickets. I bought mine at 375k rupiah opposite BCS and inside Grand Batam Mall and with a roughly exchange rate of around 10200/SGD, price is about S$36.77,hehehe... :p

I definitely wont buy the coupon that expires on Nov 2020 becos there is ONLY one person that sells that (looks fishy to me). Others were all still selling Nov 2019 coupons. Dont wish to take such risk to get rejected by Horizon Ferry counter during December 2019. If 2020 coupons are valid in the market, my friends and relatives would probably send me some in about 1.5 week's time. So currently, since i already got enough coupons, i would rather wait.

I also knows how to rub away old expiry date and chop a new one on the coupon too. :D

Hi bro, you can only bring into Indonesia, foreign banknotes not exceeding 100 million rupiah (thats about S$10k). If you wish to bring more, then will need to declare, or might risk having the money confiscated by the immigration custom officer/s.


If you are completely new to Batam, bring about S$300 per night stay but no need to change all into rupiah as yet untill you need them. I said that becos you probably didnt know what you will be looking at as yet. As in...

Eat : eat what, eat where and what kind of food. Bird's Nest? Abalone?

Sex : Sex from where? KTV? Massage shops? Overnight booking joint or hunting for ONS? Or have multiple girls filling up your hotel bed room? Hehehe...

Shopping : Depending on what you wish to buy? (i go Batam buy apartment, S$10k wouldnt be enough,hehehe...sorry,joking here)

*no offence on the above, as i am just pulling a bit of joke there.

So when i say bring S$300 a night stay to Batam, i do not include hotel room and Ferry ticket, and it should sufficiently covers you massage at the 4th floor King Massage, Alishan KTV, eating inside hotel room and walking over to JV Happy 8 and/or to the booking joints around Utama area (Area A) and a few drinks at Kampong Bule's pubs behind Harmoni Hotel (about 10 mins slow walk from Formosa Hotel).

Once you know what you are looking for in Batam as well as what Batam can brings you. The S$300 amount could either be reduced or increased on your next trip.

Davienna or Hotel I Nagoya?Well recommended Radisson cause the shower pressure was really strong but if want near nagoya Hotel I shower also not bad.

Cross opposite Formosa hotel there is Linda Massage (which is beside relax massage), behind Linda there is one more along the backlane, i cant remember the name. It is more like behind the shops that are opposite Lucky Plaza. But i do not recommend you to waste time to look for it (since you only have about 2 hours by now).

King massage you tried one girl or all girls? One girl no good dont mean all of them are bad. Same applies for all shops in Batam too. $40 to $50 budget is pretty good enough. ;)

There is also one in Nagoya City Walk Mall. I visited Grand Batam, there is another, which they called it Duck Kitchen at the basement where Top 100 resides. Tried that during my family trip there. Not bad, except the part where the waitress took our order wrongly,hehehe...


We ordered half a duck, but they turn out to be only a quarter duck, they changed it. But after tasting a small portion of that quarter duck, we find they made the quarter duck than half of it. Quarter duck taste surprising more crispy, perhaps its being made by a different chef.

Beside duck, they sell other stuffs too.


The smaller-sized fish on that day cost around 150k++ rupiah each.

...2 odd years later, the hotel is almost done up...


Either end of this year or beginning of next year, a new supposingly 2 starred hotel would be born at Harbour Bay Ferry terminal. :p

Just walking down memory lane.

Hmm...new Hotel oppsoite Grand Batam Mall,hehehe...Parkside Hotel, it seems.


...and the side view. It says its opening soon, i also dont know when but it sure appears to be like another hotel chain.


The hotel location should be pretty good, opposite is Grand Batam Mall, and behind is BCS Mall. If there is a chance, may go give a a try...but not when it just started,hehehe...Batam's new hotel when they just started got a lot of "fails" in terms of manpower and service level.
